The Firefighter Cancer Cardiac Benefit (FCB) reimbursement program offered through the Department of Local Affairs (DOLA) is now accepting applications for volunteers and part-time firefighters who were not previously eligible.

As a result of HB24-1219, coverage is mandatory for full-time, part-time, and volunteer firefighters.

Applications must be received by October 31, 2025 to be considered for the first wave of funding. A second application period will open in January 2026 for those who miss the original deadline. Volunteer and part-time firefighter reimbursement will be prioritized first, followed by full-time firefighters as funding allows.
