Notes on what’s happening with the Trust
- On Monday, Nov. 10th we held a conference call with the actuary to discuss his findings. The call lasted 70 minutes and was attended by about 20 people with the actuary taking questions from the group. We then opened up the discussion to any issues and fielded general question from the group.
- The first meeting of the Trust will take place on November 24 at 1:30 p.m. at the Administrative Office of West Metro Fire in Lakewood.
- Proposals for all known fire operations will be mailed to the Chiefs and listed contacts that were previously sent the informational mailing distributed Friday, November 7. If you did not receive the mailing and you need to receive future correspondence for your organization, please contact us.
Nov. 25 & 26 Proposal Invoices will be sent to all who received the original distribution letter emailed November 7
- We will list your total of reported full-time firefighters.
- You need to certify the actual number of full-time firefighters who have been in the fire profession for at least five (5) continuous years.
- You will then write that number on the Invoice, do the calculation, and submit a check along with your Governing Body Resolution adopting the signed and attested IGA.
- Once everything has been received, we will return a Coverage Indication and a Paid Receipt for submission to DOLA for reimbursement.
